Terms of Service

The service

Shinny King helps organizers run recreational hockey: players, sessions, games, subs, teams, and money. It is currently free and available by invitation. We may change, add, or remove features at any time.

Your account

• You must be at least the age of majority where you live to create an account.
• Give accurate information and keep your password secure.
• You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us at hello@shinnyking.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

Your league data

You own the information you put into Shinny King. You give us permission to store, process, and display it only as needed to run the service for you and your league’s other organizers.

You’re responsible for having the right to enter information about your players, for telling them how you use it, and for keeping it accurate. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

Money features

Shinny King records fees, payments, and bills that you enter. It doesn’t move money, process payments, or hold funds, and it isn’t accounting, tax, or financial advice. Check important figures against your own records.

Connected apps

You can connect AI assistants and other apps to Shinny King. They act on your behalf with your access, so review what they do. Their own terms apply to them, and we aren’t responsible for their actions or output.

Acceptable use

Don’t:

• Break the law or violate anyone’s privacy or rights.
• Enter information you aren’t allowed to share.
• Try to access accounts or leagues that aren’t yours.
• Disrupt, overload, probe, or reverse engineer the service.
• Use the service to send spam or harass people.

Ending your use

You can stop using Shinny King at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@shinnyking.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or others at risk. If we ever shut the service down, we’ll give reasonable notice so you can get a copy of your data.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Team suggestions, proration, and other calculations are aids, not guarantees.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to CAD $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

Changes

We may update these terms and will revise the date above when we do. For significant changes, we’ll let organizers know by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
